To celebrate the 2025 US Open at Oakmont Country Club, we brought “The Beast” to Devon. For one full week (June 9–15), players at MiGolf Dartington took part in a virtual Nearest to the Pin Challenge on three iconic Oakmont holes — with prizes, rivalries, and bragging rights up for grabs.

Whether you were chasing glory or just trying to beat your mates, the buzz across the bays all week long was electric.

⛳ Step Into Oakmont: Three Holes, One Challenge

Powered by our TruGolf Apogee simulators, players could log in and attempt one (or all!) of the following Nearest to the Pin challenges from the real 2025 US Open venue:

🟦 Easy – 13th Hole (140 yards)

🟧 Medium – 6th Hole (150 yards)

🔴 Hard – 8th Hole (289 yards)

With each challenge, players had 3 shots and 3 shots only to get closest to the pin. No mulligans. No gimmicks. Just pure ball-striking against one of the world’s most fearsome courses.

🎖 Honourable Mention

Special shoutout to Big Nicho 95, who also hit 36 feet on a second try at the 13th Hole — but as he’d already bagged his prize, the win is passed on to the next closest challenger. Respect!

- Kieran and Andy our onsite “Golfers” couldn’t hit the green on the 8th

- Harrison our Junior ambassador bagged a hole in one AFTER he entered the comp!

- Competitive spirit was very much on show all week!
